The Passionist Charism in the Church

A Church in Italy

To say Passionist’ today is to speak of a Family of Congregations and Movements inspired by one Charism and Spirituality. Saint Paul of the Cross founded the Passionists, a Congregation of priest and brothers. He also founded the Congregation of the Religious of the Passion of Jesus Christ, usually known as the Passionist Contemplative Nuns. He was helped in this by the  Venerable Maria Crocifissa° (Costantini) of Jesus , first superior of the Monastery of the Presentation at Tarquinia. The Passionist Nuns have monasteries in Europe, North and South America, and  Asia.
